About Welby Parish Council

Welby Parish Council  consists of 5 elected unpaid Councillors who work collectively to represent the interests of the community and have responsibilities for reviewing and commenting on planning applications, reporting of highway/footpath issues, providing insurance for parish council assets and activities, overseeing street lighting issues, maintenance of the village green and roadside verges including the planting of trees shrubs/flowers and other parish matters.

There is also a part-time Clerk for Welby Parish Council who's role is to manage administration and finances, including publishing agendas, producing minutes, liaising with local and district councils and other relevant third parties and as the Responsible Financial Officer to balance the books.
