SID and white gates
We now have a SID device operational in our village. It will be moved on a regular basis between 3 locations near each of the entrances to our village. The SID device records and time / date-stamps all speeds in both directions (but not any licence plate details). We will regularly download the results and analyse them. Initial results seem to indicate that many drivers do take notice and keep their speeds to within the legal limits (30 mph).
We also have purchased 3 sets of white gates. These have now been painted and we are waiting for a Highways official to be available so we can erect these gates near the 3 entrances to our village.
